Celine Dion Will FOR SURE Return to Vegas Stage

We don’t know the date, but we know there is one in mind.

Hoda Kotb revealed the bombshell on the “Today” show Tuesday morning, telling her co-hosts that, when she asked Celine Dion when she would return to the stage, something wonderfully unusual took place.

“She yelled to her manager, ‘Can I tell Hoda when I can be on stage?’ And he said no,” Kotb said.

AEG Presents exec John Nelson is Dion’s manager, and AEG still holds the exclusive booking arrangement with Resorts World Theatre, where Dion was supposed to begin her latest residency on Nov. 5, 2021.

So we know that Celine will perform again and we know where. We just don’t know when and for how many dates.

Kotb interviewed Dion for an hourlong NBC-TV special called “Celine’s Story,” which airs at 10 p.m. Tuesday. However, the confirmation obtained above apparently happened after the interview, which took place last month in Vegas.

Hard Road to Recovery

Dion revealed her diagnosis of Stiff-person syndrome (SPS) in a tearful Instagram video in December 2022.

The rare condition, which affects fewer than one in every million people, is marked by rigid muscles that spasm painfully and uncontrollably when triggered by noise and emotional distress.

Unfortunately, the spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to,” Dion said in the video.

Some people in the grips of SPS can transform into “human statues” who can’t walk or talk.

Dion, now 56, last performed on a concert stage on March 9, 2020, at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

However, she has made a series of public appearances over the past year that seem to suggest that somehow, she is successfully fighting back against the incurable disease.

The most hopeful appearance occurred at the Grammys in February, but not on stage, where Dion presented Taylor Swift with her latest Album of the Year award.

The hope was transmitted via an Instagram video shared by R B singer Sonyaé Elise, in which Dion with her backstage at the awards ceremony.

Brand New Revelation

During a tease of the interview on Tuesday’s “Today” show, the Canadian superstar also revealed a new timeline of her struggle with her disease.

Dion said she first suffered symptoms in her voice 16 years ago. That would make the entirety of “Celine,” her second residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace from 2011 to 2019, affected by the disease, though it wasn t diagnosed yet.

In the interview, Dion said spasms constricted her voice, cutting off her access to her higher notes and forcing her to lower the keys of some of her songs.

“What did you want me to say?” Dion said. “I have… what? We did not know what was going on.
